Annandale Distillery

Breathing life back into Annandale Distillery, this beautifully restored building is a joy to explore, it truly is a spirit reborn.

After almost a full century of sleep Annandale Distillery awoke in late 2014, masterfully restored by Professor David Thomson and his wife Teresa Church who, after learning of its history, were inspired to get Lowland Whisky flowing in Dumfries & Galloway again.

With a vision of making the very best whisky in Scotland, in the most beautiful distillery in Scotland, Annandale Distillery is well on its way to becoming a jewel in the crown of the Scottish whisky industry. It respects and reflects the heritage of the local area and its sense of place in the branding of the new malts, while the renovation of the physical buildings is a veritable work of art, tastefully visioned and delivered using skilled craftsmen with an eye for detail.

Annandale Distillery opened for visitors in 2015 and it's a rewarding stop for anyone with an interest in Scottish food and drink, or indeed architecture and design.
