Glenkens Community Market

Held on 2nd Saturday of each month, 10am-12.30pm

A small very friendly market with a wide variety of food and a few selected craft stalls, held monthly inside Dalry Town Hall.

Typical products available at each market include fresh bread, pies, savoury pastries, fresh vegetables, meat, smoked food, home baking, chocolates, eggs, hedgerow treats (eg puddings and cordials), jams and jellies, cards and wickerwork.

Tea and coffee is available at this friendly and welcoming market which provides an opportunity to socialise with members of the community, visitors and stallholders.

A truly stunning part of Dumfries & Galloway, the Glenkens, which comprise the villages of St John's Town of Dalry, New Galloway, Balmaclellan, Carsphairn, Corsock and Parton, hold between them fascinating histories, gorgeous landscapes, spectacular wildlife and many, many artisans - food producers and craft workers - inspired by the unique qualities of this special place. which has now been recognised by UNESCO as Scotland's first Biosphere Reserve.

  • Learn to waterski, sail, shoot, mountain bike, kayak or fish at the many activity centres in the Glenkens
  • Take in a show at The Catstrand, the cultural hub of the Glenkens
