Known as the 'Muckle Toon' (Big Town), Langholm sits on the beautiful River Esk, one of Scotland's big salmon rivers and a popular destination for game fishers. Langholm is home to many artisan producers, both food and drink producers and artists and craft makers, creating food and drink, paintings and furniture filled with passion and outstanding good taste. • Discover Langholm's artistic heritage, from contemporary artists to Langholm's famous son, poet Hugh McDiarmid
